Drinking Water in East Gwillimbury
The Town is committed to providing safe drinking water to our residents, businesses, and visitors which meets the high quality standards as legislated by the Province of Ontario.
East Gwillimbury monitors water quality daily to ensure compliance with the Ontario Drinking Water Quality Standards.
Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS)
The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) has established a drinking water quality management framework. All drinking water systems in Ontario are required to submit an Operational Plan which conforms to the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS). East Gwillimbury continues to maintain accreditation to the DWQMS.
Annual Water Quality Reports
The provincial Drinking Water Systems Regulation 170/03 requires East Gwillimbury publish an annual report for our drinking water systems, from January 1 to December 31. The report is a summary of East Gwillimbury's drinking water quality, including test results, for the preceding year.
