At the Town of East Gwillimbury, we offer a variety of camp programs throughout the year. Below, you will find more information on our Summer Camps, School Break Camps and Inclusion Services. Click to find out more on what camps suit you and join us for the fun!

Inclusion Services

Register for Camp

We encourage you to register at least one week before camps start to avoid cancellations. You can register online, in person, or over the phone. Review the drop-downs below to find out more important information.

Registration for ActiveNet users listed as an East Gwillimbury resident open a week before users not listed as a resident. East Gwillimbury ActiveNet users need to update their account address to ensure it lists “East Gwillimbury” as the city.

To do so, residents can log in to ActiveNet, select “Account Settings” and then select “Address Information,” updating the “City” field under this section.

For resident registration, the city included in your address must be "East Gwillimbury.” The system will not recognize Sharon, Mount Albert, Queensville, etc. as residential addresses.

You can register online using a computer only. Mobile registration is not available for camps at this time.

In-Person Registration

Visit the EG Sports Complex Recreation Services desk (during regular business hours), the Health and Active Living Plaza Recreation Services desk, or the EG Civic Centre Customer Service desk, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Registration Information

Late Registration

Registrations that are submitted after a session has begun will not be pro-rated. Full camp prices still apply.

Waitlists

You can add your child to a waitlist online for the 2026 season. To be added to a waitlist, visit iReg and search for the camp you wish to be on a waitlist for, click here.

Discounts

The following discount is available for the 2026 Summer Camp season:
When there are three or more children in the same family taking part in the same week of summer camp, the third and subsequent child(ren) will receive a $20 discount.

Refund Policy

Refunds

All refunds requests must be submitted in writing to Recreation Services at leisure1@eastgwillimbury.ca. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for all refunds to be processed. All refunds/transfers will be processed according to the date your written request is received by Recreation Services.

Refunds can be reflected back onto the form of payment used to register or credited on the participants account for future use. The account credit will not expire and can be used by any participant within the same family.

Non-Medical Refunds

Note: Prices effective January 1, 2025.

Refunds Due to Medical Needs

For all camp cancellations due to medical reasons, a full refund will be issued with a medical note with the administration fee waived. Refunds will be prorated if the refund request has come in while the camp has started. Refunds/transfers will be processed according to the date your written request is received by Recreation Services.

Transfers

There will be no fee penalty for transferring to another camp. Transfers for camps can take place up to the Friday before regularly scheduled camp, after that, transfer requests will not be accepted. All requests for transfers must be made by emailing us.

Waiting lists

If you cannot be accommodated in any of your selections, your name will be added to the waiting list for your first choice only. Camp availability is only held for 48 hours before being offered to the next person on the waiting list.

Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

Photo Policy

The Town of East Gwillimbury may capture and use photographs of programs, camps and participants for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to have photos taken of your camper, please contact our summer camp team, click here.

Healthy Lunch and Snack

All East Gwillimbury camps strive to be nut-aware. Please pack a nutritious nut-free lunch and snacks in easy to open containers and a refillable water bottle each day.

Clothing and Sunscreen

Campers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and weather appropriate clothing. Campers will spend the majority of their day outside; hats and sunscreen (spray-on preferred) are strongly recommended. A knapsack labelled with the camper’s name is encouraged, as well as labelling other items. Please pack additional clothing.

Valuable Items

Ensure your child does not bring valuable items to camp. The Town of East Gwillimbury and its vendors are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Electronic games, iPads, cellphones, money, etc. are not permitted at camp.

Toileting

All campers must be toilet trained and independent in the washroom. If an accident occurs, a phone call to the emergency contact will be made and the parent or guardian is expected to come in to assist the camper. If your child has specific needs or you have a concern, you can contact the Recreation Coordinator by email or at 905-478-4283 ext. 1447.

Please note by joining a program the registrant or participant recognizes, agrees, and accepts the known risks of participation in recreational activities and further agrees to hold harmless the Town of East Gwillimbury, elected officials and its employees from any injury or accident as it relates to these activities. The Town of East Gwillimbury does not assume any responsibilities for any incidents or injuries how so ever caused sustained by participants in any program in the buildings or on the grounds so designated or for the loss of personal or organizational effects stored or left in the building or on the grounds.
