Yonge Street is currently closed in both directions between the Dutch Settlers Square Plaza entrance and Dutch Settlers Court. Rolling closures will occur between Olive Street and Dutch Settlers Court. Access to local businesses and community facilities will be maintained via signed detour routes. All pedestrian access, including the multi-use pathway, will be rerouted. Pedestrians can also follow signed detour routes.
Current Project Status
The Enhance EG Yonge Street Revitalization project is transitioning to a single phase, scheduled for completion by late August 2026. For the remainder of the project traffic controls will remain in place. Road closures will take place throughout the project as needed. Signage will be in place to guide travellers.

What is the Holland Landing Yonge Street Revitalization project?
The Enhance EG – Holland Landing Yonge Street Revitalization Project will renew and elevate the Holland Landing Yonge Street area through improved accessibility, enhanced safety and lighting, upgraded parking and landscaping, road resurfacing, and sustainable environmental improvements. The project area focuses on Yonge Street from Mount Albert Road to Doane Road.
The Revitalization Project will include:

- Construction of a multi-use path and road resurfacing
- Upgrades to sidewalks to fill in missing links, improve connectivity and accessibility
- Public realm improvements including decorative streetlighting, streetscape, amenities, etc.
- Sidewalk connections to adjacent trail network (where applicable)
A portion of this project will also focus on the economic development opportunities of upgrading these areas. Additional projects and funding may be available for local businesses as this aspect develops and the project progresses.
