Kidventures is a program for kids 5-12 at Prince Arthur's Landing! Each camp has an art filled morning and an adventured filled afternoon with tons of activities all over Prince Arthur's Landing. Depending on the weather, each camp gets to go sailing with a trained Captain. Check out what's happening at Kidventures this summer.

Wave Into Summer! | July 13 - 17 | Let’s kick off summer with a splash! Wave into summer is a high-energy, sunshine-filled beach week. Campers will dive into exciting water games and tropical-themed activities, while building friendships to last a lifetime! The week will wrap up with a fun luau celebration - the perfect island vibes! It is the perfect way to start the summer with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories. |
Champions In Training | July 20-24 | Get ready for a high-energy week where confidence, teamwork, and fun take center field! Champions in Training at Kidventures is a sports-packed theme week designed to help kids build skills, friendships, and a champion mindset. Campers will jump into exciting competitive games, sports-themed art projects, and daily challenges that keep them active and engaged—all leading up to an action-packed end-of-week soccer tournament. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just love to play, this week is all about trying new things, cheering each other on, and celebrating every win (big and small!) |
Kaboom! Kidventures Kreations | July 27 - 31 | Get ready for minds to pop with curiosity during Kaboom! Kidventures Kreations, a science-filled week where creativity and discovery collide! Campers will dive into hands-on explorations, exciting investigations, and imaginative experiments that spark big questions and even bigger ideas. Through playful problem-solving and creative thinking, kids become scientists-in-action—testing, building, and discovering something new every day. The week builds up to an unforgettable finale: the ultimate Coke and Mentos challenge, where learning goes boom in the most fun way possible. It’s messy, memorable, and packed with “wow” moments kids won’t stop talking about! |
Heroes In Training: KV Edition | August 4-7 (4 day camp) | Calling all heroes! Heroes in Training: KV Edition is an action-packed superhero week where imagination, courage, and teamwork save the day. Campers will dive into thrilling adventures through comic-style crafts, mission-based challenges, obstacle rescues, and creative hero training activities that build confidence and collaboration. Kids will design, problem-solve, and rise to every challenge as they unlock their inner hero—culminating in an epic Amazing Race–style finale that puts all their skills to the test. It’s a week of high-energy fun where every camper gets to be the hero of the story! |
Back In A Flash! | August 10-14 | Get ready to rewind, fast-forward, and have a blast during Back in a Flash! at Kidventures—a time-traveling adventure through the coolest decades ever. Campers will jump back to the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, exploring iconic games, hands-on activities, and throwback crafts inspired by each era. From retro fun to early-2000s nostalgia, kids will discover how play has changed through the years while making new memories with friends. It’s a fun-filled journey through time that’s equal parts creative, active, and totally unforgettable. The week wraps up with an ultimate trivia day, where campers put their decade knowledge to the test in a high-energy, brain-boosting finale! |
| KV's Curtain Call | August 17-21 | Take the spotlight at KV’s Curtain Call, a show-stopping week at Kidventures where creativity shines and every camper gets a chance to perform! Kids will explore dancing, singing, acting, and imaginative arts and crafts as they build confidence and express themselves on and off the stage. Through fun rehearsals, creative workshops, and collaborative performances, campers will discover their unique talents and cheer each other on. The summer ends on a high note with an amazing talent show, giving families a front-row seat to celebrate all the creativity, growth, and applause-worthy moments! |
Fees
5 Day Camp- 1st child $220.46, additional children $186.37
4 Day Camp- 1st child $186.37, additional children $149.10
*all fees subject to council approval.
Drop-off & pick-up
Drop off: between 8:15 - 9 am
Pick up: between 4 - 5 pm

Need to know
Please pack a peanut-free lunch, water bottle, bathing suit and towel each day. Bringing a hat and a water bottle every day is also a good idea as we spend most of the day outside!
A Medical Form and Photo/ Video Release Form need to be filled out for each child attending Kidventures and can be found in the Parent Information Handbook.
Junior Inclusion Services (JIS) offers opportunities for kids of all abilities to be successful at Kidventures! For more information about JIS you can email jis@thunderbay.ca.
If you are sending your child with a Personal Support Worker please let the program know ahead of time.
Kidventures T-shirts are available for purchase for $10!
Weekly sailing depends on the weather so the day of the week will be decided the week of each camp.
HIGH FIVE
The City of Thunder Bay is a registered organization with HIGH FIVE. All staff that work for Kidventures are trained in the Principles of Healthy Child Development for children in recreation and sport!
The Kidventures program is supported by PRO Kids.
